Stewart Prior has joined Century 21 Josie Smith & Co. in Ipswich, bringing a well-established local reputation to the agency’s sales team.
Josie Smith, Director and Principal of Century 21 Josie Smith & Co., said she had known Stewart for some time and watched him build his reputation in the local market before he made the move to her office.
“He decided to move over because of culture and a supporting environment for him to succeed in what he does best, which is sales,” Josie said.
“Sales agents will definitely succeed and flourish a lot better if they’re in a supporting, nurturing environment with great culture. So that’s why he came.”
Josie said Stewart’s approach to the job went beyond transactions.
“He’s been in real estate for a number of years now, he’s a local, and Stew sees his role as far more than simply a profession,” she said. “For him, it’s about meeting new people, building genuine relationships, understanding what matters to his clients, and working hard to achieve the results they’re chasing.”
Stewart said the move reflected a search for the right environment as much as a career step.
“Joining Century 21 Ipswich wasn’t just a career move. It was choosing an environment where I could be myself, do my best work, and feel part of something meaningful,” he said. “It’s the first time in a long time I’ve felt truly at home in a workplace – and that’s why I’m here.”
Josie said the appointment would support the agency’s expansion.
“Stewart joining the team has definitely assisted with the growth of our sales team and the growth of our office in general,” she said. “We’ll be able to service more areas under our agency.”
Century 21 QLD State Director Andrew Simich welcomed the appointment.
“We are delighted to welcome Stewart to the Century 21 Ipswich team,” Andrew said. “Stewart’s experience and business success speak volumes about what a trusted member of the community he is.”
