Imagine Dragons’ frontman buys mid-century home in Los Feliz

Lead singer of Grammy-winning rock band Imagine Dragons, Dan Reynolds has quietly picked up an extensively renovated 1950s home in Los Feliz for US$5.8 million.

According to The Dirt, the Radioactive singer picked up a bargain, with the initial US$8 million asking price being cut on numerous occasions, before Reynolds scooped up the property at a substantial discount.

The two-storey home is located on one of the most popular streets in the area, just metres from Griffith Park.

Out the front of the home, there’s a motor court with a car turntable and porte-cochère entrance.

Inside the mid-century home, there are four bedrooms and five bathrooms in more than 550sq m of living space.

The house has had a thorough makeover over the years and now boasts coffered walnut ceilings, limestone floors and white Onyx skylights.

When you walk into the home, you’re greeted with an open-concept great room with floor-to-ceiling steel and Fleetwood doors that lead out to the backyard.

There’s also a large living room and dining area next to the kitchen that comes with Carrara marble, bespoke walnut cabinetry, and a host of top-tier Miele and Sub-Zero appliances.

Upstairs, the master suite features its own private balcony and outdoor shower, as well as a sitting area, walk-in closet, and luxe bathroom with dual vanities, a soaking tub and glass encased shower.

There’s plenty of room for guests in the house, with three guest bedrooms, of which two have Juliet balconies, as well as a screening room and an office.

Outside, there’s plenty of room on the half-acre grounds, that comes with both fruit and palm trees as well as a saltwater pool and chess set.

The home is perfect for entertaining, with an outdoor built-in bar, steam shower, bath, temperature-controlled wine room and a brand-new roof deck with views of the sweeping city lights.

Reynolds already owns two homes in the Los Angeles area, including a US$11 million Malibu Beach house that formerly belonged to Goldie Hawn and Kurt Russell, and his 1913 Spanish-style main residence in the Eagle Rock neighbourhood.
