The network has opened a new office on the Bellarine Peninsula, joining the existing hockingstuart Geelong and Torquay offices in the area. The new office in Ocean Grove will cater to heightened interest from buyers who are looking to Melbourneโs Surf Coast for affordable homes that are still close to businesses and amenities. The increase in demand has been reflected by a steady growth in median house prices, increasing six per cent over the past year.
On the other side of the city, buyers are also flocking beach-side, with a new office in the Mornington Peninsulaโs Mt Eliza. The need for an office to service the area is clear, with homes in Mount Eliza receiving an average of 1600 viewings per listing, more than double the entire stateโs average.
It joins four other offices along the Peninsula, strengthening hockingstuartโs presence from Frankston to Blairgowrie. The office will be led by well-seasoned experts of the area and former directors of the Peninsulaโs Hall & Hall, Zoe King and Bill Joycey.
hockingstuart Brighton has also relocated with a brand-new office headed by Senior Sales Consultant and Auctioneer, Peter Kennett. In addition, a new office set to open in Bentleigh this year will compliment hockingstuart Brightonโs presence in the bayside area.
hockingstuart CEO, Simon Jovanovic, said: โThe Mount Eliza and Bellarine offices are a direct response to the increased demand seen for homes in the growing coastal markets, while the Brighton and Bentleigh offices will continue to accommodate buyers in Melbourneโs blue-chip, inner-city bayside.
โWith hockingstuart offices spread throughout the state, our new additions reflect the networkโs strength, breadth & depth across Victoria. Having a strong network of offices helps ensure we can support our vendors with a significant pool of buyers.โ
The new offices come off the back of a big year for the network with the launch of a brand-new website in July this year, helping streamline the house-hunting process for Victorian buyers and sellers.
