Best actress Oscar winner Gwyneth Paltrow has listed her Montecito guest house on Airbnb, offering a lucky fan, and their guest, the chance to live like an A-lister for a night.
According to the Airbnb listing, Paltrow will be there to greet the guests upon arrival and to ensure they “ have all the necessities for a comfortable and rejuvenating stay”.
“My Montecito home is my sanctuary for respite and mental clarity,” the Shakespeare in Love star also says in the listing.
“I go there to recharge, to daydream about what we’re building at goop and to reconnect with my family and treasured friends.
“Whether you’re seeking a place for unexpected connection or for well-deserved solitude and reflection, when you come to stay, I hope you’ll get as much joy out of the home as I do.
“Plus, I’ve loaded up your stay with some of my favourite goop essentials to nourish your body, mind and soul.”
Paltrow also posted about the experience on her Instagram page, giving her 8.3 million followers a tour of the one-bedroom guest house, which she designed herself.
The guest house features a wood-burning fireplace, a massive soaking tub, vaulted ceilings and a fully stocked bar.
“While we may begin as strangers, I hope we’ll find connections and commonalities over a delicious meal,” Paltrow wrote in her Instagram post.
“Lay by the pool, go on one of my favourite hikes and of course you’ll have a bathroom stocked with my favourite @goop products for a truly luxuriating stay.”
And if that “delicious meal” is the same one she speaks of in the video tour then the lucky guests will be enjoying a sitdown chef’s dinner not just with Paltrow but also with her husband Brad Falchuk – including with a bottle of wine of their choosing, selected from Paltrow’s very own wine room.
Paltrow says she’s opening the doors to her guest house at her $5 million property to “make the world a little less lonely”.
Bookings for Paltrow’s guesthouse opens at 10am on August 15, with the one-night stay for up to two guests to take place on September 9.
