Glebe real estate icon joins the Laing+Simmons network

Nicholas Katsikaros has been at the forefront of the Inner West and Glebe real estate markets for over 40 years, serving locals from Glebe Point Road for the last 30, and becoming a fixture in the community. Now he and his team have joined the Laing+Simmons family.

โ€œThe real estate market is dynamic, itโ€™s always changing, and we recognised that heading into 2019 we needed greater flexibility and a new brand to ensure our offer continues to resonate with our customers,โ€ Mr Katsikaros said.

โ€œOur point of difference is our experience at the local level. We know the area, we know the people, and our brand must empower us to engage with the local community in a way that we know works.

โ€œWeโ€™re excited to join the Laing+Simmons brand and embark on a new era of growth so we can serve the Glebe community for many years to come,โ€ he said.

Laing+Simmons Glebe will also focus on growing its rent roll in the short term, with its large and well-resourced team of property managers seeking to work with landlords to deliver a more personal brand of service drawing on local market experience.

โ€œWe see property management as a key growth area in 2019, as investors focus on maximising returns and protecting their investment against the backdrop of a subdued economy. We specialise in fostering great relationships with quality tenants to give our landlords peace of mind, which is crucial in times like these,โ€ Mr Katsikaros said.

โ€œThe inner west is an area weโ€™re actively targeting for growth at present and Laing+Simmons Glebe is a major addition to the group, not only in terms of talent and performance but also experience,โ€ saidย Head of Network Growth Travis Wentriro.
