On getting into real estate
I chose real estate.
The happiest moment in my career
Securing my first-ever listing four days into my first job in real estate.
The most memorable moment
It was a gorgeous three-bedroom unit that I sold twice in the space of three months and still managed to get a higher price second time around.
Best advice sheโs received
Just be yourself! Own who you are and simply do you. The right people will flow your way.
Biggest challenge
The rise of DIY models for sellers as well as the changing landscape in the digital space. The solution is for agents to cultivate deeper and more meaningful relationships with their database, even after the sale. This means that these clients will still enlist you to sell their homes (in combination) with all the new elements in technology. Being more high-touch and still high-tech.
Change for good?
I would love to see more rookie mentoring and nurturing. Also, just respect amongst industry peers โ more collaboration over competition. Agents need to remember that itโs never about us โ itโs about the clients and the communities that we serve and represent.
โEliteโ agent means
An agent who represents more than just their number of listings sold and listed. Someone who is able to address the clientsโ pain points during a time thatโs very stressful to them. An agent who can also be a mentor and role model to their peers.
#WeAreRealEstate is a series of short interviews with 140 agents all over Australia exploring the industryโs hopes, concerns, future challenges, and what it really means to be an Elite Agent.
