EAC embraces online property auctions

The Estate Agents Co-operative (EAC) has paired with Sale Ezy to offer online property auction capability to their members.

Described as “Australia’s first and most cutting-edge, end-to-end online sales and auction platform”, Sale Ezy will allow agents to host online property auctions while ensuring all compliance issues like vendor ID checks are taken care of.

It will also allow the additional feature of ‘best offer’, giving buyers the opportunity to make an offer prior to auction day.

Developed by a team of real estate, marketing, IT and legal experts, Sale Ezy aims to simplify the listing process, streamline the selling process, focus on compliance, and improve bidder participation by removing geographic and other logistical restrictions.

EAC CEO, David Crombie said the partnership with Sale Ezy continued the EAC’s tradition of sourcing and offering the best technology for their members.

“A lot of people are talking about online property auctions, but one of the challenges is regulation.

“Sale Ezy has done a lot of work in the area of regulation and has developed all the necessary checks to ensure compliance in Australia.”

He noted Sale Ezy would offer an innovative tool to agents catering to a busy and increasingly tech-savvy buyer.

“Not everyone can make it to the auction. This allows agents to put a property into an online space.”

Mr Crombie continued a major attribute of the Sale Ezy platform was its ability to accept a best offer prior to auction day, meanwhile it catered to a trend where modern consumers were increasingly familiar and comfortable with online auctions in general.

Initially released to select agents in 2007, Sale Ezy was the first operational online property auction system patented in Australia.

With the market, consumer demand and expectations changing, Sale Ezy was re-developed over several years, and re-launched in late 2017, already facilitating successful sales to buyers interstate and throughout Asia and Europe.

Sale Ezy Director, Allan McDonald said as an agent and auctioneer of 30 years, he had witnessed major change in recent years with buyers now demanding faster response time, more transparency, greater access, convenience and mobility.

“Sale Ezy is designed to give agents a third selling option to offer clients a solution that meets all of those needs.

“Reaching more buyers by embracing technology that allows people to bid from their office in China, holiday in Greece or just the sidelines of their child’s sporting Grand Final is a win for everyone.”
