Di Jones Real Estate CEO Rob Ward is donning the lycra to raise money for cancer research as part of the Tour de Cure.
โCancer has touched the lives of many of our staff and I felt it was time to tackle it head on,โ Mr Ward said.
Kicking off on the 27 April 2018, Mr Ward will join more than 120 cyclists on the Tour de Cureโs 12th annual Signature Tour from Mackay to Cape Tribulation, then on to Cairns.
The seven day staged ride sees participants journey almost 1100km and Mr Ward hopes his efforts will raise $12,000 for the charity.
โSince its inception in 2007, Tour de Cure has raised $35 million for cancer research which has funded 22 cancer breakthroughs,โ Mr Ward said.
โRiding Tour De Cure for me is about supporting those with cancer, personal achievement, leading my team from the front and demonstrating that we can all make a difference. I appreciate how lucky I am and urge everyone to get behind our fund-raising efforts,โ Mr Ward said.
