Coronis marched with pride in support of diversity

Coronis put their rainbow gear on to march for the LGBTIQA+ community, celebrating pride in support of family, friends, and team members at the annual Brisbane Pride March and Fair Day on Saturday.

Coronis Head of Growth, Craig Gillies, expressed how important it was for the team to support and fundraise for causes that helped make a difference in people’s lives.

“As a family, Coronis does everything in our ability to support causes that are close to our heart and Open Doors Youth Service Inc. is one of the charities that help youths feel a sense of belonging,” he said.

“This celebration of diversity is for everyone, so it’s incredible to see how the community gets together and marches, while having fun fundraising for a cause that supports our wider community.

“Members of our Coronis family came to march and raise funds to go towards helping LGBTIQA+ teens who need support…we couldn’t be prouder because this cause is really important for my family and so many others.

“Our team are strong advocates for inclusivity, and we celebrate diversity in all shapes regardless of sexual orientation, gender identity, religious beliefs or ethnicity. It takes courage to be who you are and who you want to be, and we love encouraging that.

“The more representation young LGBTIQA+ people can see in their community as a reflection of themselves, the more comfortable they will be with their own identity, the more they’ll feel a sense of belonging and the happier they’ll be.

“I’m proud to say that we have created a workplace where everyone feels safe to be themselves. When our customers are buying, selling, or renting their home, there’s always someone there who appreciates their unique story.”
