Kylie Charlton: Embrace the disruptors

Twenty-eight years in the industry has taught Hodges’ agent Kylie Charlton that there’s room for every model

On getting into real estate
The father of a great friend from high school was a real estate agent. They had a pool and tennis court and great cars – I wanted their life.

The happiest moment in my career
When a client says, “this fabulous result changes my life, Kylie”.

The most memorable moment
A $6.5 million sale on Beach Road, Brighton. Highest sale for that particular weekend.

Best advice she’s received
Say yes and work out the details later.

Biggest challenge
The negativity toward ‘the disruptors’. There is room for every model.

Change for good?
The government to create a body to hold sales trust funds so agents can not steal funds from their clients. It’s such a simple solution to a problem that occurs far too often.

‘Elite’ agent means
A consistent, highly-professional, ethical, transparent agent.

#WeAreRealEstate is a series of short interviews with 140 agents all over Australia, exploring the industry’s hopes, concerns, future challenges, and what it really means to be an Elite Agent.
