Cairns agent makes strong Japanese connections

Cairns RE/MAX powerhouse Tony Williamson has just returned from a mentoring and networking trip to Japan, which turned out to be as much a fact-finding mission as a training one.

And it is good news for Cairns property owners and investors.

“I have formed a great network of contacts, and I can say with confidence that Japanese buyers are looking with great interest at our Cairns region.

“What I also discovered is a tremendous opportunity for buyers from here to invest in property in Japan, where property prices are expected to rise from a quite low point for the first time in many years.

“It is all about timing, as Japan heads towards hosting the 2020 Summer Olympics in Tokyo,” Mr. Williamson said.

The RE/MAX Real Estate Services broker owner, who already wears the mantle of RE/MAX Asia-Pacific Region Ambassador because of his commitment to strengthening relationships among real estate professional through the region, spent nine days with RE/MAX teams in Tokyo and Osaka.

“I noticed some fantastic flight deals so took the initiative to jump on board and do some relationship building in Japan.

‘I worked alongside RE/MAX broker owners and agents in Tokyo and Osaka, and conducted training for my Japanese peers.

“There are currently nine RE/MAX offices in Japan, and it is a sizable network of agents,” said Mr Williamson.

Tony told us if anyone interested in hearing more about the property market in Japan or opportunities to reach Japanese property investors, was very welcome to contact him on his mobile 0407 161 626.
