The co-founder and CTO of Gavl, an auction live stream platform which launched in 2016, has been invited to speak at IBM Think 2018 in Vegas.
The platform has live-streamed more than $5bn in auction sales over its time, and allows buyers anywhere to watch and bid on live auctions via app or website.
So far Gavl has chalked up over 3.5 million views of over 5,000 auctions in Australia.
The annual IBM Think conference is being held in Las Vegas in 2018 and will see Gavl join other companies such as ANZ, Telstra and Westpac in bringing Australian tech to the world stage.
Gavl’s co-founder and CTO Leith Donaldson will be speaking about how the platform is changing the way the industry broadcasts auctions and expanding the reach of agents and auctioneers.
Gavl has so far secured $4.3 million in investment by Harris Capital in 2016 and 2017 and is already working with a number of networks, including Ray White and Raine & Horne.
