Parks and Recreation actress Aubrey Plaza has quietly spent US$4.7 million to move down the street – upgrading to a Spanish-style home in the Hollywood Hills.
According to The Dirt, the actress, comedian and producer and her husband will be moving into a much larger four-bedroom, six-bathroom property that includes 370sq m of living space.
The 1920’s built home has been fully restored, and boasts a host of grand-scale rooms with oak floors, high ceilings, arched doorways, wood-sash windows and seamless indoor-outdoor areas.
Situated behind large walls and gates on a quarter-acre block, the three-storey structure sits behind a picturesque courtyard surrounded by century-old trees.
Guests enter into a tiled foyer, that leads into a living room with a whitewashed wood-beam ceiling, brick fireplace and picture window.
The main level includes a formal dining room with French doors that open out to a garden, along with a gourmet kitchen featuring all-white cabinetry, marble countertops, an apron sink, an eat-in island, high-end stainless appliances, and dual walk-in pantries.
Thereโs also easy access to an al fresco dining patio that overlooks a koi pond.
One of the rooms is set up as an office and features carved ceiling beams and bookshelves and thereโs also a den.
One of the most notable features of the property is the magnesite staircase with the original ironwork that leads up to the master retreat.
It includes two walk-in closets and a bath with a clawfoot soaking tub and separate shower.
On the lower level, thereโs a climate-controlled wine room that connects to the garage.
Outdoors, the backyard includes a large pool, cabana and a grassy lawn.
