Asset management veteran joins RWC Western Sydney

RWC Western Sydney has bolstered its asset management division with the high profile appointment of seasoned property professional Riccardo Canales, who joins the team after 15 years at a corporate agency.

The appointment marks a significant milestone for the Parramatta-based agency as it continues to expand its market-leading asset management capabilities across Western Sydney and beyond.

Peter Vines, managing director of RWC Western Sydney, said Mr Canalesโ€™ appointment was a major win for both the business and its clients.

โ€œFor years I have had clients tell me about Riccardo and what an incredible asset manager he is. I am so delighted that he has decided to join us and it is a huge compliment to our business that someone of Riccardo’s calibre and with such significant experience has chosen RWC Western Sydney.โ€ Peter Vines said.

โ€œRiccardo has managed a number of significant portfolios for both institutional and private clients all over NSW made up of a variety of assets and will bring a wealth of experience to an already experienced team.โ€

Joyce Elkouberci, director of asset management, said Riccardoโ€™s arrival further enhances the agencyโ€™s ability to deliver long-term growth and stability for its clients.

โ€œWith 15 years of industry experience, Riccardo has developed a deep understanding of asset performance, tenant relationship management, and proactive planning. His familiarity with institutional  reporting, compliance standards and long-term asset strategies ensures that our clients will directly benefit,โ€ she said.

โ€œWhat excites me the most is the knowledge and leadership skill that Riccardo brings to our team. His hands-on approach and strategic mindset perfectly aligns with our commitment to delivering exceptional outcomes for our clients. Riccardoโ€™s presence raises the bar, strengthens existing relationships and attracts new opportunities, signalling our continued investment in quality talent as we expand our presence in Western Sydney.โ€

Reflecting on his decision to join, Mr Canales said the move represented both a personal and professional opportunity.

โ€œI have been looking for a new challenge where I could continue to grow professionally while also sharing the knowledge and experience I have gained over the years. What stood out to me about RWC Western Sydney was its dynamic and fast-growing nature, as well as the strong alignment between its values, culture and my own.

โ€œThe opportunity to be part of a driven, high-performing team that genuinely supports and recognises its people was a key factor in my decision. Iโ€™m excited to contribute to the ongoing success of the business while mentoring and supporting the growth of others within the team,โ€ Mr Canales said.

The appointment reflects RWC Western Sydneyโ€™s commitment to investing in senior talent and delivering end-to-end commercial real estate services, from sales and leasing through to asset management.
