The oceanfront home of David Falk – Michael Jordan’s longtime agent and the man who coined the phrase “Air Jordan” – has hit the market for US$25 million (A$35 million).
If sold at asking price, it would become the most expensive home ever sold on Kiawah Island, South Carolina.

The property at 88 Surfsong Road sits on 1.24 acres of one of the widest pieces of beachfront land on the island, with a private beach boardwalk and views stretching across the Atlantic Ocean.
From the top floors, you can see the entire island’s curvature.

Built in 2006, the 8,851-square-foot home features six bedrooms and eight bathrooms.
The scale of the interior is striking. The two-storey living room stretches 59 feet – roughly the length of a small airplane – and opens to a large oval gallery above.

A 110-foot pool with an infinity waterfall anchors the outdoor entertaining areas, alongside a roofed spa and cabana with an outdoor fireplace.

The two-storey primary suite occupies the eastern side of the house, with a fireplace featuring a lighted glass-tile hearth and two storeys of ocean-facing windows. The bathroom includes a standalone MOMA Design glass tub.

Three guest suites with ocean views sit off the gallery, while two top-storey guest suites feature wood-beamed vaulted ceilings, sitting nooks, and a shared kitchenette. One includes a fireplace.

The west wing houses a fitness room with a beverage station, while the property includes an elevator, custom floor medallions, tile mosaics, and lead-coated copper roofing.
A Kiawah Island Club Golf Membership is available with purchase, offering access to the Cassique and River Course, a 9,000-square-foot fitness facility, beach clubs, five-star dining, and Two Meeting Street Inn – a circa-1890 Queen Anne Victorian mansion in historic downtown Charleston.

David built his reputation as one of the most influential sports agents in history. In 1985, he negotiated Michael’s groundbreaking Nike deal – described by his Washington Speakers Bureau biography as the most successful endorsement relationship in history. He also represented NBA stars Patrick Ewing and Alonzo Mourning.
David started his career as an agent in 1974 with ProServ, then formed Falk Associates Management Enterprises (FAME) in 1992. He sold FAME to SFX Entertainment in 1998, left in 2001, and relaunched the firm in January 2007.
Doug Lee of Kiawah Island Real Estate holds the listing.
