It took a Cairns holiday and a visit with the RE/MAX Real Estate Services team to lure Tiffany Krause, one of RE/MAX Australia’s high achievers, to the region.
Ms Krause began her real estate career just over a decade ago in a family real estate business before joining RE/MAX in December 2009. Since then she has established an enviable reputation for exceptional service and successful outcomes for customers in the Toowoomba market.
“From the moment I first visited Cairns a couple of years ago, it felt like home, even though I’d lived in Toowoomba all my life,” said Ms Krause.
“I had a very successful career there but I felt it was time to ‘refresh’ and to explore new territory… and it just had to be Cairns.
“Because of the dynamics of the RE/MAX Australia network and the opportunities it provides for networking, I had met Tony Williamson, and many on his team; and from the outset, I was exceptionally impressed with how they ran such a top agency,” she said.
Ms Krause joined the Cairns’ RE/MAX team at the start of this year and had her first Cairns’ listing within two days.
“Now that I’m here, I can say that Tony is absolutely amazing and totally supportive of his staff. And our office is just so beautiful, being the old Whitfield Chapel.
“I came from being one of Toowoomba’s top agents, with my clients being nearly 100 per cent repeat and referral business.
“Whilst there’s no doubt that it’s difficult to establish yourself in a brand new town, I have absolutely no regrets in making the move north. It’s the best decision I’ve made to date. Cairns is a phenomenal place to live.”
Ms Krause sees Cairns as a fresh market with loads of opportunity.
“The opportunity for a solid rental return is a definite standout, with this being a fantastic spot to invest.
“While this market is similar in some ways to Toowoomba – such as properties in desirable school catchment areas and the construction of wonderful high-end properties, for example – I think this may be a tougher market than where I originated from, so I really admire the successful agents here at RE/MAX.
“I’m already passionate about this property market and the people; and one thing I don’t do is differentiate based on price point.
“My mantra has always been, and remains: I give people the same advice that I would give to my grandparents, because I think property is a precious personal and financial asset. Whether it is $200,000 or $2 million, your home is your everything and needs to be treated accordingly to get you the maximum result from the market,” Ms Krause said.
