Top Gun is back in cinemas and smashing box office records while one of the movieโs stars has already started making the most of his success buying a new US$4.5 million LA home.
Actor Jay Ellis, who plays one of Tom Cruiseโs proteges in the sequel Top Gun: Maverick, picked up the 1919-built home in Spaulding Square, Los Angeles, just as his career looks set to take a big leap forward.
The wood-paneled, three- bedroom, three-bathroom property comprises 317sq m of living space and sits on 849sq m of land.
According to The Dirt, the property has been extensively โโrenovated, remodelled and restored to European five-star hotel perfection.
The home features a striking columned portico along the front porch running the length of the home.
Inside, the sleekly designed interiors boast an all-white colour scheme with ebony walnut floors and copious built-ins, plus French doors throughout.
The property also includes formal living and dining rooms, a marble-clad kitchen with an eat-in island bench and high-end stainless appliances. Thereโs also a fireside family room and wallpapered billiard room.
All three bedrooms are on the upper level, including a deluxe master retreat that comes complete with a custom walk-in closet, private terrace, and bathroom with dual vanities, a soaking tub and a glass-encased shower.
The home also has a grassy backyard, pool and spa, along with a pool house and an outdoor movie theatre.
