The ‘creepy’ home from Stranger Things is up for sale

Fans of the hit Netflix show Stranger Things have the chance to experience life in the fictional town of Hawkins, with a Victorian manor used as a set officially listed for sale.

According to realestate.com.au, the home was used in the fourth season and is on sale with an asking price of US$1.5 million.

The haunted home of the Creel family and Vecna’s Mindscape is not located in Indiana or the Upside Down, but in a small town called Rome in Georgia.

The 557sq m historic property includes seven bedrooms and five bathrooms and was last sold for US$350,000 in 2019 before undergoing an extensive restoration.

The 140-year-old property also maintains many of its stunning original details, with the era-appropriate kitchen and the bathrooms now offering a sleek and modern twist.

Inside, there’s inlaid wood flooring, layered mouldings, pocket doors, original windows, an antique wall safe, built-in bookshelves, custom cabinetry and a cast iron urinal.

In terms of what fans of the show will recognise, there’s the same formal dining room, an adjoining parlour and a living room.

There’s also an outdoor foyer, a mansard roof and an unfinished third floor.

To top it off, there’s a Gothic-style guest house with its own sitting room, a kitchen, a bathroom and multiple bedrooms.

While the official listing notes the nightmarish Stranger Things energies have all been evicted from the house.
