A Home for All Foundation’s flagship fundraising campaign, A Night Without Home, is back for a second year, calling on the property industry to give up the comfort of home for a night this October.

Real estate professionals and businesses can take part by couch surfing, sleeping in their car, fundraising, or simply donating. Participants are encouraged to unite on Thursday 8 October, ahead of World Homelessness Day, or take part any time throughout October.

The campaign’s first run in 2025 raised more than $1 million, with funds going to four organisations supporting people experiencing homelessness due to domestic and family violence – Women’s Community Shelters, Friends with Dignity, Justice Connect, and Women’s Safety Services of Central Australia.

Annabelle Daniel OAM, CEO of Women’s Community Shelters, said the funding from that first campaign is already changing outcomes for women and children escaping violence.

“With support from A Home for All Foundation, our plans are well underway to transform an underused site into supported temporary accommodation, transitional homes and a community hub for women and children leaving violence,” Annabelle said.

“Over the next 12 months, this project is expected to help support more than 150 women, creating safer pathways out of crisis and helping more families rebuild with dignity, stability and hope.”

Christine Mikhael, A Home for All Foundation Advisory Committee Chair and LJ Hooker CEO, said the campaign gives property professionals a direct way to act on an issue tied to the industry’s core purpose.

“The property industry is uniquely placed to help drive real change. We are in the business of finding people homes, and everyone deserves a safe and secure place to sleep at night,” Christine said.

Following the success of the first year, Christine said the Foundation is aiming to make this year’s fundraising events even bigger, adding:

“Every sign-up, donation and conversation moves us one step closer to ending homelessness.”

Registrations for A Night Without Home are now open, with every dollar raised this year again going toward supporting people at risk of or experiencing homelessness due to domestic and family violence.

A Home for All Foundation was established in 2025, led by the Australian property industry and backed by REA Group. Its Advisory Committee brings together experts from the housing, homelessness and property sectors to direct funding where it can create the most impact.
