The Agency welcomes experienced agent Kyle Pitman to their Queensland team

The Agency has welcomed award-winning agent Kyle Pitman to their rapidly growing Queensland team. He has more than 25 years’ experience in the real estate industry across Australia and New Zealand.

Formerly General Manager of Ray White New Zealand and most recently Head of Learning and Development Australia for the McGrath network, Mr Pitman is not only an experienced sales agent but has a strong background in management and business ownership.

Running his own consultancy business for many years, Mr Pitman prides himself on being a highly effective performance coach and has trained agents and business owners to drive growth and develop further business opportunities.

He has trained agents from new starters to the very experienced. Following many years establishing, growing and evolving real estate businesses, Mr Pitman returned to sales, which he said is what he enjoys most about being in the industry.

“This business is 80 percent attitude and 20 per cent skill,” Mr Pitman said.

“It relies on your ability to connect with people and be transparent throughout the transaction process. The most important thing is effective communication with your client and being dedicated to getting the best result for them, while being educated in the market.”

Mr Pitman’s real estate career has been an upward trajectory since its inception. He was awarded ‘rookie of the year’ within his first 12 months in the industry in 1996, and went on to be a top performer in Brisbane.

In the early 2000’s, Mr Pitman worked with David Price, who is now The Agency Queensland general manager, as his top sales agent, and his career comes full circle as he joins David in the high-performing team at The Agency Queensland.

Despite his accolades, Mr Pitman is sought-out by his clients for his humility and desire to stay out of the limelight, counting high-profile and high net worth people as his clients.

Born and bred in Bulimba, the sought-after Brisbane suburb is also where the skilled sales agent and auctioneer began his real estate career.

Over the past two decades, Mr Pitman has seen the area attract young professionals, given its proximity to the city, while still retaining a community feel.

Mr Pitman has sold a range of properties, from waterfront prestige listings in the $10 million to $15 million price range, to $350,000 units to investors.

Reflecting on the way the industry has adapted to the pandemic, Mr Pitman explained many of his buyers, including high net worth expats returning to Australia with their families, are looking for lifestyle homes in the area with enough space for separate home offices and large living spaces.

“Having worked across Australia and New Zealand for many years, I’ve formed international connections and networks with many agents and agencies, which have allowed me to facilitate the best deals for my clients,” Mr Pitman said.

Mr Pitman joins The Agency with his wife Katrina Pitman, who has been alongside him in his sales career and joins The Agency team as agent support partner.

At the end of the day, what grounds Mr Pitman is his passion for sales and the relationships he builds.

“There is nothing like that feeling of seeing the look on your clients’ face when you sell their home for an amazing price,” he said.

“To me, success is earning the trust and respect of my clients by doing my absolute best for them.”
