South Australian start-up Augment Space allows anyone to create virtual tours

South Australian start-up Augment Space has developed a unique internet platform which allows anyone from a home owner to a global corporation make quick and affordable virtual tours.

Using the online platform developed by Augment Space, anyone can upload and easily create interactive virtual tours and walkthroughs.

The tools available through the platform are compatible with 360-degree cameras – with a plan to include all mobile devices in the future – and the finished tours can be viewed anywhere, on a mobile phone, a tablet or on a desktop.

Michael McDonald, General Manager, Raine & Horne SA says that Augment Space has opened up the market by developing a user friendly and cost effective virtual tour system.

โ€œWhilst virtual tours have been around for a while now, they are usually prohibitively expensive and technically difficult to do yourself. This new platform is special because above all it is adaptive to more common technologies such as a phone or tablet which will allow us to offer our customers value for money virtual tours on properties. We already have six Raine & Horne offices signed up to use it.โ€

Mr. Nigam, founder of Augment Space, says the platform is completely cloud-based, and users donโ€™t need to download an app to their device.

โ€œWe ensure all of our users have access to the latest platform updates and upgrades,โ€ he said.

โ€œThe platform also allows users who share their virtual tour on social media or a website to track the number of views and interactions, which can deliver an insight into the level of interest in your project.

โ€œAnd you can easily add a floor plan to your video, delivering a significant advantage for real estate agents or private home sellers wanting to showcase a property especially those in more rural locations.โ€
