Singer Rihanna hasn’t been able to capitalise on the strong US real estate market over the past few years, taking a loss on the recent sale of her Hollywood Hills villa.
According to The Dirt, Rihanna first listed the Mediterranean-influenced property for US$7.5 million in December 2018, before finally selling in an off-market deal for US$6.6 million – US$250,000 less than she paid for it in 2017.
Hidden behind gates and a host of trees and shrubs, on a nearly half-acre block of land above the Sunset Strip, the contemporary stucco and terracotta-roof structure was built in 2015.
Inside, there are six bedrooms and 10 bathrooms spread across more than 660sq m of multi-level living space featuring high ceilings, arched doorways, and a mix of hardwood and tile floors.
There’s also a combination of steel-framed doors and windows throughout the home that offers sweeping city lights and mountain views.
The residence also offers luxurious indoor-outdoor areas and a host of amenities including a movie theatre and billiard room, plus a detached two-car garage with an upper-level guesthouse with its own gym and bath.
