Ray White Ashgrove principal Adam Downes has expanded his footprint in Brisbane’s leafy western suburbs, taking on the Ray White Indooroopilly franchise and extending his blue-chip market presence across one of the city’s most sought-after corridors.

The move sees Adam pay tribute to outgoing principals Kirrilli Cobley and Jessica King, who built a strong and respected business at Indooroopilly.

Both will remain with the business and continue selling, to ensure seamless continuity for their clients.

“Kirrilli and Jessica have done a tremendous job building this business and its reputation in the community,” Adam said.

“I’m not coming in to change what works, I’m here to add capacity, structure and growth behind two people who already know how to perform.”

The expansion cements Adam’s position as one of Ray White’s most significant emerging owner-operators in Queensland, connecting two premium suburbs under a single leadership vision.

Adam is widely regarded as one of Australia’s leading real estate performance coaches who spent eight years working inside Ray White’s corporate structure, coaching hundreds of businesses across Australia and New Zealand from top-tier Chairman’s Elite performers to first-year rookies.

He was the driving force behind Ray White’s industry-leading Pulse platform, which delivers real-time performance insights across every agent and business in the network, and is credited with creating the group’s ‘missed millions’ program, which transformed how its businesses and agents leverage their databases.

He took ownership of Ray White Ashgrove after a decorated career that began with service in the Royal Australian Air Force, followed by a move into real estate sales in 2007.

He went on to become one of Queensland’s most respected auctioneers and a sought-after presenter at Ray White and industry events nationally.

Adam said Indooroopilly represented a significant opportunity to restore a suburb that was once a genuine powerhouse in Brisbane real estate.

“This office has history and it has the bones of a great business,” he said.

“My focus now is on building capacity, bringing in the right people, giving them the right structure, and growing this into the business it’s capable of being.

“I have coached and trained thousands of agents and I’ve seen first-hand what separates the best from the rest. It comes down to belief, process and a willingness to keep learning. I plan to bring all of that to Indooroopilly.”

Adam said his auction-focused culture and database strategies would be central to delivering results for Indooroopilly vendors.

“I know how to create maximum competition for a home and competition is what drives a premium price. Property owners can take great confidence in that.”

Ray White Queensland CEO Jason Andrew said Adam’s expansion was a natural progression for one of the group’s most impactful leaders.

“Adam has been a key contributor to the way Ray White operates at every level, from the tools agents use every day to the culture of performance we’re known for,” Jason said.

“Seeing him now expand his own business into Indooroopilly is exactly the kind of move we back. He has the skills, the relationships and the drive to make this office best in market.

“Adam’s focus on recruitment, auctions and agent development is exactly what this market needs right now. There has never been a better time to invest in Brisbane and in the western suburbs in particular.”

Adam, who lives in Brisbane’s western suburbs with his wife Rachael and their three children, said he was motivated by both ambition and community.

“This is where my family lives and where I want to build something lasting. I’m excited about what’s ahead for both Ashgrove and Indooroopilly.”
