Ray White SA leaders, Robbie Smith and Joe Marriott, are stepping into an exciting new chapter, taking over leadership of Ray White Colonel Light Gardens as the business enters a new era of growth and local market leadership.
The pair are launching with two established teams and eight staff members, including a newly appointed operations manager.
The property management department will operate as a joint venture across both the Colonel Light Gardens and Unley locations.
“We’ve both spent nearly 10 years in the Ray White Unley office, so there’s a huge amount of respect and gratitude for everything we’ve learned there,” Robbie said.
“There will still be a strong sense of togetherness between the two offices, particularly with the property management department being a joint venture across both locations. We’re incredibly excited to now take the reins at Colonel Light Gardens and build something special together.”
Joe started his real estate career in 2015 before joining Ray White Unley, where the pair developed local expertise across Colonel Light Gardens and surrounding suburbs. Robbie is also recognised as one of South Australia’s top auctioneers.
For both, staying within the Ray White network was straightforward.
“When you look at what Ray White provides, particularly across the South Australian market, the strength of the brand is undeniable, selling 1 in 4 properties across the state,” Joe said.
“The systems, support, technology and innovation available through Ray White make it incredibly easy to transition seamlessly and hit the ground running.”
The Colonel Light Gardens office sits in one of Adelaide’s most tightly held suburbs – a garden suburb designed in the 1920s, known for its wide streets, character homes, and strong community identity.
“Colonel Light Gardens is such a special part of Adelaide,” Robbie said.
“It was designed as a garden suburb in the 1920s, so it has this beautiful, picturesque feel with wide streets, reserves, sporting clubs and stunning character homes on large allotments.”
Joe said the pair’s vision extends beyond sales results.
“Long-term, we also want to grow people. Our vision is to build a business where multiple agents are the clear market leaders of their focus areas around the office, and developing successful careers with the help of our leadership,” he said.
Over the next 12 months, Robbie and Joe plan to expand their market presence and create opportunities for emerging agents. They also have ambitions to grow into Blackwood and surrounding suburbs.
Asha Nash, Lachlan Turner, and Kimberley Yeeles will lead property management at Colonel Light Gardens while continuing to manage the Unley property management department.
Matt Lindblom, CEO of Ray White South Australia and Northern Territory, said the pair represented the next generation of leadership within the group.
“Robbie and Joe have earned this opportunity through years of consistent high performance, leadership and an unwavering commitment to their clients and community,” Matt said.
“They’ve built outstanding reputations within the Ray White Unley business and I have no doubt they’ll bring that same energy, professionalism and ambition to Colonel Light Gardens.”
