Gavin Rubinstein’s real estate firm, TRG, has expanded its presence across Sydney’s Eastern Suburbs with Express Realty’s property management business and team joining TRG.
The transition, which took effect last month, brings Express Realty’s rent roll under the TRG banner, expanding TRG’s property management team from three to twelve and taking the agency’s portfolio to more than 1,000 properties under management across residential and commercial property.
Express Realty was established more than thirty years ago by founder Robert Kogan, who built the business on long-standing relationships with property owners and tenants across the Eastern Suburbs.
The move came about through a long-standing connection between the two businesses, with Mr Kogan’s son, Frankie Kogan, already working at TRG in Zac Rabin’s sales team. This gave Mr Kogan a strong understanding of TRG’s approach to its clients and its people, helping establish the trust that ultimately brought the businesses together.
“Robert built an exceptional business over 30 years and had incredibly strong relationships with his clients,” Mr Rubinstein said.
“Because Frankie has been part of our business, Robert had a genuine understanding of the standards we hold ourselves to and, importantly, how seriously we take looking after our clients.
“For us, it was important that the business Robert had built over so many years came together with a team that shared those same values and would continue to look after his clients to the standard they were accustomed to.”
All Express Realty staff have transitioned to TRG, providing continuity for existing landlords and tenants. The combined property management team is now based at TRG’s Rose Bay headquarters, while Mr Kogan will continue working alongside the team and his long-standing clients.
TRG’s property management division is led by Jerome Srot, Mr Rubinstein’s business partner, with whom he has enjoyed a long-standing and close-knit business relationship of almost 18 years.
“We now have a team of career-based property managers, spearheaded by our Head of Department, Dalia Bloom, with a combined tenure of more than 70 years in property management,” Mr Srot said.

The business and team have grown threefold, giving us greater resources, scale and market share to take the division to the next level, while ensuring the highest level of service and asset protection for our clients.”
