Purplebricks Australia CEO departs

It has been mutually decided that Purplebricks Australia Chief Executive Officer Ryan Dinsdale will leave the business to pursue new opportunities. Mr Dinsdale will remain with Purplebricks to support a period of transition until 1 March 2019 at the latest.

Mr Dinsdale took on the role two and a half years ago to launch the Purplebricks brand into Australia. During his tenure, the company reports to have sold over 4,000 homes.

Commenting on the announcement, the Board and Management of Purplebricks expressed their thanks to Mr Dinsdale for his commitment and dedication to the business and wished him all the best for when he departs.

Global Chief Operating Officer Neil Tavender will transition into the role. He has been based in Australia since 2011 and was appointed to his current position in August 2018. Working alongside co-founder Kenny Bruce, Mr Tavender played a key role in the development of Purplebricks Australia’s new customer and marketing proposition launched on 1 October 2018.

Purplebricks Australia also announces today it has appointed Debra Lee, currently Chief Operating Officer, as Human Resources Director. Ms Lee will work with agents to ensure the business continues to operate in line with its values at all times and that the firm’s reputation for outstanding customer outcomes is maintained.

The vacant role of National Sales Manager has now been filled by Sean Green, who brings 20 years’ industry experience to his new position, most recently with LJ Hooker in its corporate office. Prior to this, Mr Green was with Century 21 and Raine & Horne.

Commenting on his appointment, Neil Tavender, Purplebricks Australia CEO, said:

“In my first three months at Purplebricks, I’ve had the opportunity to travel the country and speak with all of our agents and many of our customers.

“While I will continue to drive growth and have a plan in place to increase our footprint across Australia, I will also have a strong focus on our people and our culture. The appointment of Debra and Sean have been key first steps.”
