Elders has appointed Patrick Bird as NSW rural real estate manager, adding to its rural property leadership team in the state.
Patrick brings more than 20 years’ experience in rural property agency, including his role as a principal of Emms Mooney, where he helped build the business into what Elders describes as one of NSW’s leading rural property and livestock agencies.
Following Elders’ acquisition of Emms Mooney, Patrick has continued as a director of that business and will retain this role alongside his new position with Elders.
In his new role, Patrick will focus on growing Elders’ rural property business through recruitment, team development and mentoring, while strengthening collaboration across the NSW network.
“I’m excited about the opportunity to work with the outstanding rural property agents we already have across NSW and build on the strength of the business,” Patrick said.
“A key focus for me will be developing our people, sharing knowledge and experience across the network, and creating more opportunities for agents to grow their businesses and careers.”
“Elders has an enormous advantage through the strength and reach of its national network. By better connecting our agents, buyers, market knowledge and opportunities, we can deliver an even stronger service and better outcomes for our clients.”
The appointment forms part of a broader evolution of Elders’ NSW real estate leadership structure, with former state manager Richard Gemmell moving into the role of National Transaction and Development Executive.
Richard has led growth across the NSW business and built a strong team, according to Elders. In his new role, he will focus on originating and supporting transactions across the national network, while mentoring emerging agents.
“Richard has made a significant contribution to the growth of Elders Real Estate and has built a strong platform for future growth,” said Mark Barber, Elders’ GM Farmland Agency and Water.
“His new national role will allow Elders to leverage his experience across the broader network, while continuing to support the development of our people.”
Patrick said the opportunity to build on Elders’ existing strength across NSW was significant.
“We already have some outstanding rural property agents across NSW. I want to build on that foundation and make sure we are working together as a network to deliver the best possible outcomes for our clients.”
“Ultimately, I want Elders to be the first choice for rural property owners across NSW when they are considering selling; combining local expertise with the strength, reach and experience of Elders.”
