The Real Estate Institute of Queensland has revealed the finalists for its 2026 Awards for Excellence, with the peak body saying nominations were up by more than 100 compared to previous years.
The finalists will compete across the awards’ individual and agency categories at a gala event on Saturday, 31 October at The Star Brisbane.
Antonia Mercorella, REIQ’s CEO, said the record nomination numbers had made this year’s judging one of the most competitive yet.
“The REIQ Awards for Excellence has always been a highly anticipated event on the Queensland real estate calendar, but this year we’re delighted to have received more than 100 additional nominations compared to previous years,” Antonia said.
“To be named a finalist means you’ve distinguished yourself among a strong statewide crop of candidates and demonstrated a commitment to professionalism, customer service and best practice,” she said.
“Every year our judges are impressed by the passion, innovation and dedication reflected in the submissions, and this year’s finalists should be immensely proud of progressing to this stage.”
The 2026 program includes a new category, Multi-Office Network of the Year, alongside existing categories spanning residential and commercial sales, property management, buyers’ agency, business broking, auctioneering, business development and agency support.
“The breadth of categories reflects the diversity of Queensland’s real estate sectors, from residential and commercial sales through to property management, buyers’ agency, business broking, auctioneering, business development, agency support and more,” Antonia said.
