Giorgio Armani has purchased an apartment in the recently launched Giorgio Armani Residences, situated above his iconic Madison Avenue boutique in New York.
The new 12-storey, 195-foot limestone building hosts 10 exclusive units, one of which will now be occupied by Armani himself, according to the New York Post.
The boutique, located at 760 Madison and 65th Street, has been a fashion landmark since 1996.
Potential buyers should note that the duplex penthouse in this opulent building is on the market for $32.5 million, while a fifth-floor unit has a listing price of $25 million.
Sales have just begun, but five of the 10 units are already under contract, according to a spokesperson for the development.
Luxury is at the forefront in these apartments.
The penthouse covers 391sq m and features four bedrooms and 4ยฝ bathrooms.
It also offers a private elevator landing that opens onto a formal gallery overlooking a landscaped terrace.
One can expect high-end touches such as floor-to-ceiling windows, French doors with custom metal work, and panoramic views of the city skyline and Central Park.
The fifth-floor unit, slightly larger at 452sq m, is equally lavish.
It includes an open layout with four bedrooms, 4ยฝ baths, and a private terrace.
Interior finishes feature white oak floors, 3m high ceilings, and an array of modern bronze, marble and neutral earth-toned finishes.
Like the penthouse, this unit also provides a private elevator landing that leads to an entry gallery with limestone floors.
Designed by New York architecture firm COOKFOX and developed by SL Green, the building’s facade has received approval from the Landmarks Preservation Commission.
Interiors are the creative work of Victoria Hagan, with sales and marketing managed by Douglas Elliman brokers Sabrina Saltiel and Madeline Hult Elghanayan.
The building aims for completion by summer 2024.
Starting at $21.5 million, the residences offer building amenities such as a doorman, a gym, a private treatment room, and a library and lounge furnished with Armani Casa furniture.
