In her new role, Karuna will oversee all aspects of Coronis Headquarters including events, administration, contracts, recruitment, marketing, operations, Concierge and IT.
Karuna says she is “elated” and her main role will be moving the business forward on the strategic plan. The business has the goal of expanding to 40 offices within the next two years.
“My role is about making sure we all work together and towards one vision moving forward rather than working in silos,” Karuna said.
Coronis Managing Director Andrew Coronis said the introduction of a COO into the Group was a natural evolution of Coronis’ organisational structure as they worked towards making the buying, renting and selling process easier for every client.
“In order to maintain our recent growth, we have had to re-evaluate how we can keep up with the demands of the business and create the right structure to fuel future expansion and profitability,” Mr Coronis said.
“Karuna has been a valued and talented member of our leadership team for many years now and has played an integral role through Coronis’ significant periods of growth. I know she will excel in this new position with her strong leadership skills and industry expertise and will positively affect all aspects of the business.”

“Something we’ve just launched recently is live chat on all our websites. It’s been a new thing moving forward to create better customer service. This is the first month we have had an average 5 star rating from the people using it. That’s set our new standard.”
Karuna says the growth opportunities Coronis offers has kept her with the business for 14 years.
“I started with them when I was 22 and not having any real estate experience. They created an incredible amount of opportunities and challenges for me and others. I’ve been able to go through training and become a real estate agent to sales specialist then running my own office. I had 2 kids and I was able to come back and be open to flexible work hours and then moved into the area leader role, and now after doing that for 5 years I am in this role. There are no other companies that I know of in real estate that can offer those opportunities.”
For Karuna, who has a little girl and boy, it’s about keeping the big picture in mind.
“I’m a bit of an experiences person, for me I want to be able to create a lifestyle for me and my family alongside my career so that we get to travel and have fun together.”
