Industry leaders unite at theOne Conference: pioneering success strategies for real estate in 2024

Mr Khan and Ray White The Catanzariti Family Group Director Peter Catanzariti brought together 500 industry leaders to encourage collaboration and help agents win 2024.

โ€œWe want to go into 2024 with momentum and we want to share that with other Ray White agents and the broader industry,โ€ Mr Khan said.

Speaking at the conference, Ray White Managing Director Dan White said in real estate you have to keep evolving and working hard.

โ€œAny business that has been around for a while, itโ€™s important to be fresh, innovative and keep improving over time,โ€ Mr White said.

โ€œBusinesses fade away, but we want to fight against nature and make sure that doesnโ€™t happen.โ€

Mr White said the key to any business was to be ready to change when things come and to be prepared for the calls you need to make when the time comes.ย 

โ€œThe bigger you get, the more risks you need to take,โ€ he said.

โ€œThe biggest risk you can take is to take no risks at all.

โ€œItโ€™s all about competition, to compete you have to differentiate, some people try to be everything to everyone, we have a few things we want to focus on, the best way to differentiate is to be brilliant at what youโ€™re good at.โ€

High-profile agent Taylor Bredin, from Ray White Quakers Hill, share with the attendees the strategies and numbers he focuses on to write more than seven figures a year.

He said he was clear on what he needed to do in the next 12 months.

Mr Bredin worked out early that he needed to appraise 10 houses a week, list an average of 2.5 houses and sell two per week to give him $50,000 in GCI each week.ย ย 

โ€œThat is all I focus on,โ€ Mr Bredin said.

โ€œThat is my discipline. I start at 10am each day as I like to see my son in the morning and finish at anywhere from 7pm to 10pm.

โ€œI know where I want to be in 12 months, I want to hit $3 million in GCI.ย 

โ€œReward results, not just effort.โ€

Award-winning auctioneer, Apollo Property Group Director Justin Nickerson said winning 2024 would come down to three simple things.

โ€œI get to see what the great agents actually do,โ€ Mr Nickerson said.

โ€œThe three traits of great agents are consistency, resilience and building trust.

โ€œGreat agents have the ability to bounce back from a bad conversation. 

โ€œOur industry is pretty level but the good agents can build trust very quickly.โ€

Kollosche Managing Director Michael Kollosche told the conference attendees that the key to being successful in real estate was to play to your strengths.ย

โ€œI have key people in key roles doing their own flame work,โ€ Mr Kollosche said.

โ€œWe have the right people doing the right things to bring our properties to market. 

โ€œYou have to build for scale too.

โ€œItโ€™s like a streamlined conveyor belt and then everyone gets the same level of service.โ€

Mr Kollosche said you need use structure and systems to create capacity.ย 

โ€œIf you have a team, build it out so you can do more volume, and the client experience is the same for everyone, but I understand capacity is a challenge for many agents,โ€ he said.

โ€œSo always focus on the process and gather the bidders.

โ€œBut whether or not itโ€™s a $1 million house or a $24 million house, the process is the same.โ€
