Harcourts Australia and Harcourts New Zealand will face off for the first time in Dial Hard 2, a Trans-Tasman appraisal challenge set to run on Tuesday, 28 July, from 11am to 2pm AEST.
Sales and property management teams across both countries will spend the three hours competing to book as many appraisals as possible.
While Australia prepares to defend its home turf, this marks New Zealand’s first-ever Dial Hard, adding an exciting new dimension to the competition.
CEO of Harcourts Australia Adrian Knowles said the event had become one of the network’s most anticipated, combining skill-building with competition.
“Dial Hard creates incredible energy across our network, but it’s about much more than making calls,” Adrian said.
“The work you put into your pipeline now can make all the difference when the spring market arrives.
“Every conversation you have today has the potential to become tomorrow’s appraisal, listing or referral. That’s why events like Dial Hard are so valuable.”
Adrian said adding New Zealand to the competition for the first time raised the stakes.
“There’s always been a healthy rivalry between our two countries, and I know our Australian teams will be doing everything they can to keep the bragging rights on this side of the Tasman,” he said.
CEO of Harcourts New Zealand Bryan Thomson said his teams were ready for the challenge.
“This might be New Zealand’s first Dial Hard, but don’t mistake that for inexperience,” Bryan said.
“Our teams are excited to be part of the challenge and are ready to show Australia exactly what we can do.
“Friendly competition is a fantastic motivator, and we’re looking forward to making our mark from day one.”
For agents on both sides of the Tasman, the event doubles as a practical prospecting exercise ahead of the spring selling season, with the format built around sustained, consistent conversations translating into appraisals and listings.
Whether an agent has years of prospecting experience or is making their first appraisal call, the challenge is designed to build momentum heading into one of the industry’s busiest periods.
