Leading estate agency CRM platform, Rex Software, has released findings from an AI Advisory Board, established to examine the relationship between estate agencies and artificial intelligence.
Rex created the advisory board in response to thorough market research demonstrating that agents’ biggest challenge was AI, and not knowing how to use it to its full potential. Existing and prospective clients query how the increased use of AI across the house-selling process will impact them, with Rex expediting its AI functionality and forming the board, demonstrating how It can maximise productivity and profitability.
The board found six key findings:
- When admin falls behind, data quality suffers. Agents are increasingly busy, leading to shortcuts in admin tasks and poor data hygiene.
- Prospecting fails because agents don’t know who to call today. The biggest frustration wasn’t a lack of data, but a lack of clarity about who is a priority across sales, buyers, market leads and WhatsApp conversations.
- Agents overwork the hot leads and abandon the rest. While agents focus on their five per cent hottest leads, the remaining 95 per cent are forgotten about, as there is no prompt to re-engage.
- Agents want clear actions. They want to be given the calls they need to make today, why they need to be made and to be able to get on with the task in hand.
- The biggest unlock is removing ‘what do I say?’ The strongest positive reaction wasn’t to scoring or ranking, but to talking points. If agents know why they are calling, it removes hesitation, and calls get made.
- Your database is your largest asset, and most of it is idle. While agents are brilliant at working the hottest opportunities, the majority of the database, full of past buyers, old appraisals and market leads, is left untouched.
Tom Ainsworth, CRO at Rex Software, said: “Our AI Advisory Board has provided fantastic findings straight from the source. This was an opportunity for us to give agency leaders a seat at the table and use their voice to tell us directly what challenges they face within their business. And now we’re solving those challenges through integrated AI workflows that streamline operations and open up growth opportunities.”
Rex AI is launching in May 2026.
