Christine Quinn lists $33.9 million Miami penthouse you can buy with crypto

Hot on the heels of leaving The Oppenheim Group and starting her own crypto-based brokerage RealOpen, Selling Sunset star Christine Quinn has listed a US$33.9 million penthouse.

Located atop the 43-storey Regalia skyscraper in Miami, Florida, the six-bedroom, six-bathroom condo is the largest apartment currently on the market in the Miami area.

According to toptenrealestatedeals.com, this is Quinn’s first listing in Miami after starting RealOpen earlier this year.

RealOpen bridges the gap between digital assets and physical goods, allowing anyone, anywhere to buy or sell a home with cryptocurrency.

“Our platform bridges the gap between luxury real estate and Miami’s deep crypto community,” Quinn told toptenrealestatedeals.com.

“The Penthouse at Regalia is the introduction of RealOpen to Miami.”

Quinn started RealOpen with husband Christian Dumontet and he told Forbes there’s also no need for buyers to cash out their crypto currency prior to settlement.

“If you think about the home buying process, it can take months to decide what’s right for you,” he said.

“In that case, if someone were to sell their crypto for cash first, they’d have to do that, then get the verification proof of funds letter from the bank, and that incurs a taxable event at that moment.

“With RealOpen, they can keep their crypto throughout that entire process, which means continued participation in the market.

“We provide continuous verification of funds throughout the process so that the seller knows, as the buyer places offers, that they really do have this money and they can’t play games with the transferring cash in and out. That taxable event only occurs at the moment of the closing.”

The Regalia penthouse offers three floors and almost 1000sq m of living space, plus a private rooftop terrace.

At the top of the tallest building on Sunny Isles Beach, the penthouses offers sweeping views of the Atlantic Ocean, the Intracoastal Waterway, Golden beach and the skylines of Miami and Miami Beach.

Floor-to-ceiling windows and stunning use of void space are a feature of the home with 360-degree views filling the home with natural light.

Features include a lounge theatre, bar and billiards room, a formal dining area, a glass wine cellar and a master bathroom more akin to a day spa with its steam room, sauna and massage area.

And if you’re worried all the changes mean Quinn won’t be on the next season of Selling Sunset, don’t fret.

She told the Daily Pop she’d be back.

“It means we might have to get a little creative when it comes to the new season, because it’s going to be like a battle of the brokerages, so it will be fun,” Quinn said.
