Leading Gold Coast real estate business Ray White Malan + Co has strengthened its leadership team with the appointment of Jordan Curd as Chief Auctioneer and Head of Performance.
The high-profile appointment comes as the business continues its strong growth trajectory across the Gold Coast, with Jordan bringing a unique mix of auctioneering expertise, agent development experience, and high-performance coaching to the role.
“With a background in cybersecurity sales and triathlon coaching, I started in real estate working under Peter Burgin (now at Ray White Collective) as his associate, supporting him in preparing for and delivering auction campaigns,” Jordan said.
“Very quickly, I realised auction day was my favourite part of the business and I pursued auctioneering full time.
“Naturally, that evolved into a hybrid role where I was also supporting agents within the brand through training and performance development opportunities.”
Jordan joins the business following a standout 12 months in the industry, having been crowned REIQ Auctioneer of the Year for 2025 and recently representing Queensland at the Australasian Auctioneer of the Year Competition after the REIQ rejoined the REIA competition pathway. Earlier this year he was also appointed to the REIQ Auctioneer Chapter Committee.
He said the Ray White Group’s long-standing commitment to auctions made the move a natural fit.
“Auctions are deeply embedded in the Ray White Group’s identity, making it an exciting place to call home as an auctioneer,” Jordan said.
“From my first meeting with Ray White Malan + Co it was clear that they are an incredible organisation, with family values as their foundation, coupled with exciting leadership and direction for their future.
“The opportunity to work under Michael Andrews in particular is something I am very excited about.
“Malan + Co’s decision to build this role while on a strong growth trajectory, particularly in the current market uncertainty, is testament to their long-term vision, and I believe our efforts will be well rewarded within the Gold Coast market.”
In his newly created role, Jordan will oversee auction delivery while also helping drive agent performance, accountability, training and business growth across the organisation.
“My mission is to bring energy, accountability and process to every meeting, auction and transaction that I am part of,” he said.
Jordan said strong leadership and process would become increasingly important as agents navigate changing market conditions.
“More than ever, auctioneers and leaders need to be safe hands for their agents, empowering them to embrace process and focus on the dollar productive activities that will move the needle,” he said.
“Many agents may experience changing market conditions for the first time in their careers this year, and our role is to help keep them on the right path without detracting from their own unique strengths and individuality.”
“While we anticipate some challenges throughout the year, I am excited to support our agents in leaning into processes to help drive auction volume, transaction volume, and continued growth across the business,” he said.
Michael Andrews, CEO of Ray White Malan + Co said Jordan’s appointment would further strengthen the business’s position in the market.
“Jordan brings an incredible level of professionalism, energy and leadership to our organisation,” Michael said.
“He is not only one of the country’s most exciting auctioneering talents, but someone who is deeply committed to helping people grow and perform at their best.
“As we continue expanding across the Gold Coast, having someone of Jordan’s calibre leading our auction and performance division puts us in an exceptionally strong position for the future.”
Jason Andrew, CEO of Ray White Queensland said Jordan’s appointment reflected the group’s ongoing commitment to attracting elite talent.
“Our philosophy of being best-in-market must involve attracting generational talent,” Jason said.
“Jordan is just that. His partnership with one of our most dynamic businesses in our company really does ensure the best years for all involved are ahead.”
