Ask the coach: I keep hearing you should do 20 to 30 calls a day. My challenge is sometimes I’m not sure who to call

Your goal is to make more calls each day, so it’s vital that you generate leads, attend appointments, take listings, put buyers under contract and sell a lot of homes.

With spring a few months away, now is the time to turn the volume up in all areas of your business to create the certainty you deserve.

Stay on track between now and the end of the year with consistent habits and rituals for your business. “Energy goes where focus goes.”

So keep channelling your energy and focus in the right areas to build momentum and traction, especially around market appraisals. Work at your highest level, especially when doing prospecting calls each day.

Conversation equals conversion. This is crucial if you want certainty in your business. Also, focus on buyer work to manage sales and low days on market.

Everyone knows what self discipline is and how it can be achieved, but as usual, knowing something doesn’t ensure we can do it.

Staying focused and disciplined takes enormous effort, but this ability is not restricted to the talented few; anyone can achieve these levels of discipline.

Anything worth achieving will require hard, sustained effort. Instant success without effort is either cheating or does not exist.

It’s crucial you develop a routine every day/week/ month and see a shift, with a consistent flow of market appraisals from your daily prospecting.

Let’s aim for ‘Thrive with Five’ every day, which is a simple system where you make calls in five different categories:
No. 1: 5 x past market appraisal calls
No. 2: 5 x past client calls
No. 3: 5 x old OFI calls
No. 4: 5 x database calls
No. 5: 5 x just-sold cold calls.

If you want to live a good life, make a commitment. Commitment will give you freedom. Don’t get distracted by unimportant and frivolous activities.

When you commit to your calls, you hone in what I call your ‘profit zone’ because you give it attention and focus, which in return directs you toward becoming efficient and opportunities begin to appear in your business.

Commitment allows you to intently focus on a few important goals and achieve a higher degree of success than you otherwise would. The depth is where the gold is buried.

You have to stay committed to something and go deep to dig it up each day. Recognising the patterns and beliefs holding you back from the call sessions and making a conscious effort to overcome them are the first steps toward reclaiming your potential.
