Actor Matthew Morrison lands a buyer for his Hollywood Hills home

Glee star Matthew Morrison has tripled his money after securing a buyer for his renovated Hollywood Hills home.

According to The Dirt, the actor has accepted an offer of US$4.295 million for the one-acre property he shared with his wife Renee Puente and two children.

Morrison bought the home in 2010 while he was starring in the musical comedy-drama series, for US$1.2 million before completing an extensive US$1 million renovation that included adding almost 100sq m to the floor plan and an extra bedroom.

The three-bedroom, 2.5-bathroom, farmhouse-style property was built in the early 1940s and is modest in size by celebrity standards at just 292sq m.

According to the listing, the home includes a step-down living room showcasing a custom, dual-sided rock fireplace, with French doors leading to an in-ground infinity spa, expansive grounds and organic fruit trees.

There’s also a chef’s kitchen boasting custom tiling, cabinetry, a state-of-the-art Sub-Zero fridge, a European steamer built into the island bench, walk-in pantry, and French doors that lead to a secluded yard, gazebo and outdoor living room.

The oversized, outstanding primary suite is covered by stately, vaulted wood ceilings and a pair of French doors that takes you to a three metre balcony overlooking the southern California forestry.

The ensuite includes a steam shower, heated floors, custom built-in light mirror, dual sinks, restoration hardware vanity, and a Toto toilet.

Outside in the lush landscaping is a natural spring nook where you can enjoy your surroundings and the cool, crisp Pacific coast breeze.

Morrison and his family plan to travel having recently sold their apartment in New York for US$2.1 million in 2019, and an upstate New York retreat that went in 2020 for $775,000.
