Toronto ‘Schitt’s Creek’ Mansion still up for sale – (and so is the Rosebud Motel)

The property at 30 Fifeshire Rd in the upscale St Andrews neighbourhood was built in 2012.

The 12-bedroom, 16-bathroom mansion featured in the show as the Rose’s home and was originally listed for $21.7m CAD (AU$22.04 million).

It appears to have had a couple of price drops and is now on the market for $14.9m CAD.

In the series, the Rose family is evicted from the home in episode one – prior to their move to the fictional town of Schitt’s Creek.

And no wonder they had so much trouble adjusting to the Rosebud Motel – as this French chateau-style mansion has pretty much everything a multi-million entrepreneur could want.

While many of the beautiful frescoes seen in each room appear to be inspired by the Sistine Chapel, there are also plenty of modern amenities including a 24-hour security system, large kitchen and a spacious media room.

It’s also an entertainer’s delight with big formal dining rooms, double reception room, a lower level for weddings and banquets, large kitchen and indoor/outdoor pool areas.

For the sports-minded, there is also a sauna, billiard room, gym and wine cellar.

The listing agent is Khoren Mardoyan of HomeLife/Vision Realty Inc.

‘Rosebud’ Motel is also on the market

If you don’t have a lazy $15 million lying around to buy a mansion, perhaps as a fan you might have $2 million to breathe life into the hotel where the Schitts stayed during the six seasons of the show.

Known in real life as the Hockley Motel it is also located in Ontario, in Central Canada.

It’s listed with Robin McLuskie and Alam Pirani of Colliers Canada.

The listing states, “The property is currently not operational and a new owner has the ability to create something special on the site”.

Schitt’s Creek won seven of the 15 Emmy nominations it received at the 72nd Primetime Emmys, celebrated in September 2020 and is also up for five Golden Globe nominations, including best TV musical or comedy series.
