The Barry Plant Group is opening six new offices in Melbourne and regional Victoria in the first quarter of this year. The group has attributed this expansion to continued trust in the reputation of the group by vendors, investors and agents alike.
Strengthening its existing network in regional Victoria, the group is excited to add offices in Shepparton, Nagambie and Tatura. The three new offices are headed up by Matt Chilcott, a local agent who was previously operating under his own banner.
Jim Dimitropoulos from the current Barry Plant Preston office will head up a new office in Northcote, while a new office in Mill Park will service the Mill Park and South Morang areas. This office will be headed up by David and Jay Moxon and Lisa Reginato, who are also involved in the Barry Plant Bundoora and Greensborough offices.
In the southern suburbs, a new ‘super office’ in Mentone will service the Cheltenham and Mentone areas under the leadership of Michael Care, who currently is the director of the Mordialloc office.
Barry Plant CEO Mike McCarthy said, โDespite slower conditions over the past year, we strongly believe investing in growing our brand, our agents and our network is the right strategy to take advantage of the โgreen shootsโ we have seen over January and February.
โWith promising results across the network, including increasing auction clearance rates and greater numbers of buyers at open for inspections, we feel that thereโs much to be optimistic about for the year ahead,โ he said.
Mr McCarthy explained that the Barry Plant Group takes a very measured approach to office growth, ensuring that any new franchisees are a good culture fit and also have the mindset to work to grow and improve their business.
The addition of these six new offices will bring the state total for the group to 84 offices.
