The Agency recruits market leaders in Melbourne’s Williamstown

Highly regarded real estate professional Leigh Melbourne and his team have joined The Agency Victoria, and are looking to grow the brand in the Williamstown area.

Mr Melbourne, who has a long association selling real estate in Melbourne’s inner-west, will be joined by Mark de Brabander and Noah Lautman-Wurt.

“We’re looking forward to seeing the growth of The Agency throughout Victoria and including the inner-west of Melbourne,” he said.

“The goal is to grow our team with like-minded agents joining us as we progress throughout the year.”

Mr Melbourne said The Agency would have a shopfront in Williamstown and that office was expected to be ready around the middle of the year.

He said he and his colleagues all had strong ties in the community and prided themselves on delivering exceptional service to the clients.

“Joining me at The Agency are Noah Lautman-Wurt and Mark de Brabander,” he said.

“Noah is an impressive young property partner who has been at my side for the last two years and has excellent client feedback, while Mark is a very well respected and established real estate professional in the Williamstown and Newport markets.

“I have worked with Mark for the last 10 years and he has a solid client base and is referral driven, with a focus on Williamstown and the surrounding inner-west market.”

The Agency General Manager of Sales – Victoria, Sally O’Connell said Mr Melbourne, Mr de Brabander and Mr Lautman-Wurt were a great addition to The Agency due to their unparalleled market knowledge.

“The Agency Williamstown will be led by property partners who have been recognised as the top performers in their area,” she said.

“They have an incredible understanding of the communities they service and their professionalism coupled with an approachable style make them stand out in the marketplace.

“We look forward to supporting them in the next chapter of their careers and see continued success for them and their clients under The Agency brand.”

Mr Melbourne said he loved all aspects of real estate, especially helping people secure their dream homes.

“I love auctioneering and supporting first-home buyers, upsizers and downsizers to achieve their property goals,” he said.

Mr Melbourne added he and his colleagues were attracted to The Agency because of its national presence, the support and training the network provides and its clean, fresh marketing.

“The Agency is a team orientated brand where everyone is working together to achieve the best possible outcomes for vendors as well buyers,” he said.

“In the ever-evolving real estate market they are moving with the times and offer an environment with exceptional training that promotes growth.”

Mr Melbourne said he expected increased supply levels in 2024 across Williamstown and Melbourne’s Inner West, including, Newport, Seaholme, Altona, South Kingsville and Yarraville, among other suburbs.

“Over the last couple of years the number of homes for sale in the area have been very low and with interest rates largely on hold we expect to see a bounce back of the number of properties coming to market,” he said.

The Agency Chief Executive Officer and Managing Director, Geoff Lucas, said Mr Melbourne and his colleagues were a great example of the brand’s growth strategy.

“What we look to do is partner with leading agents in their respective markets and provide them with the centralised support they need so that they can focus on what they do best – selling real estate.

“Melbourne in particular under the leadership of Sally O’Connell offers great opportunity for those looking to join our national brand of market leaders.”
