Steven Seagal is selling his bulletproof Arizona home

Talk about a bulletproof investment. Action film star Steven Seagal has announced he is selling his Arizona home.

In addition to offering sweeping views, the four-bedroom, five-bathroom home on Desert Mountain, which is priced at $4.35 million, comes equipped with bulletproof glass – in case you’re ever under siege, one would assume.

There is also a guest house on the property that features a living room, full kitchen and bedroom suite.

Calling Seagal a tad eccentric is a bit like calling Nicolas Cage a little bit offbeat, but the life of the actor, martial artist and musician would make for an interesting movie itself.

The star of classic action films such as Hard to Kill and Above the Law, as well as a plethora of not-so-classic straight-to-video releases, was born in Michigan, and was a frail child who suffered asthma before he relocated to California with his parents at age 5.

“He was a puny kid back then. But he really thrived after the move,” his mother Patricia has said

In addition to his film career, Seagal also starred in the reality-TV series Steven Seagal: Lawman, which followed him as he performed his duties as a deputy sheriff.

He has also served as master and instructor of the Japanese martial art of Aikido, skills he has put to use in many of his screen roles.

Seagal is also no stranger to prime real estate, having owned a variety of homes in a range of beautiful locations. He currently also owns homes in Colorado, the Mandeville Canyon area of Los Angeles and Louisiana.

According to Top Ten Real Estate Deals, Seagal is now selling his Arizona home that overlooks the Chiricahua Golf Course, the cities of Phoenix and Scottsdale, and the valley beyond.

The home is in an ideal location for golf enthusiasts, with six Jack Nicklaus Signature courses and a new USGA-rated, par-54 course nearby.

The home is located in the guard-gated Carefree Ranch Homesteads, and was built in 2001 into a hillside on almost five hectares. Constructed from copper, stone and glass walls, the main house measures 743sq m and the adjacent guest house has a living room, full kitchen and bedroom suite.

The main house has spectacular views, with large expanses of glass walls in almost every room.

Filled with spaces to entertain, the rooms are large, airy and filled with bright Arizona sunlight.

There are the living, family and dining rooms, an eat-in chef’s kitchen and dining terrace, a theatre large enough for hosting friends and several flexible-use rooms.

There are also several terraces, an infinity pool and spa, and a three-car garage, with extra parking space for guests.

The listing agents are Julianna Eriksen and Bob Nathan of Engel & Völkers, Scottsdale, Arizona.
