Savills Queensland has announced the appointment of Michael Fowler and Sophie Dong to the graduate program for 2019.
Michael Fowler is currently undertaking a Bachelor of Property Economics with minors in Economics & Valuations, due for completion at the end of 2019.
Mr Fowler said he believes the programme will work hand-in-hand with what he is learning through his studies, equipping him with real-world experience.
โThe opportunity to work through six divisional rotations over the next year will be exceptional experience in terms of learning and having exposure to different areas in property,
โI believe this opportunity will assist with identifying the area in which I start and seek employment in post-study,โ Mr Fowler said.
Sophie Dong has recently completed postgraduate study at Bond University, majoring in Property Valuations and Development.
Ms Dong said she is looking forward to gaining an insight into each sphere of the property industry.
โThe Savills Graduate Program provides an open, inclusive and supportive platform with numerous resources to assist graduates to set foot in the industry, build their network as well as their expertise, and to develop themselves into property professionals,โ Ms Dong said.
Savills Queensland Managing Director Anthony Ott said that the graduate program provides a good entry point for students to join the industry; providing them with insight to multiple business areas allows them to better identify where their strengths may lie.
โThe quality of applicants we received this year was outstanding. We are delighted to have Sophie and Michael join our team and I have no doubt that they will provide a valuable contribution,” Mr Ott said.
โThey will rotate across multiple divisions throughout the 43-week programme, and we look forward to providing them with a solid foundation to propel their careers in property.โ
