Regional SA and Adelaide Offices Dominate Real Estate Industry Awards

The expansion of Raine & Horne in South Australia was underscored by the significant wins of its leading city and regional offices at the franchise’s state awards held last month at the National Wine Centre.

Raine & Horne Salisbury, led by Andrew Harvey, won the group’s top office category for South Australia and Best City Office. Adelaide property professional Kate Smith, Principal of Raine & Horne Semaphore, was named Best Sales Agent and Best Metropolitan Agent. Nick Grosvenor from Raine & Horne Strathalbyn was named the Best Regional Sales Agent in South Australia.

Smith’s success at the Raine & Horne awards comes on the heels of her victory at the Real Estate Institute of South Australia Awards, where she was named South Australian Residential Salesperson of the Year 2016.

Smith, who combines business ownership with the role of mother, was a finalist in the prestigious Best Residential Salesperson for 2016 category at the recent Real Estate Institute of Australia awards held in Canberra.

Raine & Horne Semaphore’s successes in the Raine & Horne SA awards included taking second place in the very competitive Top Office category, and its tyro sales agent Alex Losic being named the Rookie of the Year for Sales.

Raine & Horne Semaphore scored first place in the Top Property Management Office in the metropolitan area.

“I am very proud of the efforts of my team in winning these awards. These achievements are particularly pleasing considering the average sales price in Semaphore is just $429,809, and we are competing with agents operating in the higher-priced city and eastern suburbs markets,” Smith said.

Other winners at the Raine & Horne SA awards included Raine & Horne Commercial SA, which is led by David Ente and Boyd Octoman. Ente was named Top Commercial Salesperson for sales dollar value and leasing dollar value.

Ente’s recognition, along with the wins by Raine & Horne Salisbury, Raine & Horne Semaphore and Raine & Horne Strathalbyn, demonstrate that the 134-year-old Raine & Horne brand is making significant inroads in South Australia, according to Michael McDonald, General Manager SA, Raine & Horne.

“With principals such as Kate, Andrew and David leading the way, and with almost 30 residential, commercial property and business broking offices in South Australia, we are very confident about the prospects for the growth of our Superbrand in South Australia.”

Long-time Raine & Horne South Australia master franchiser Chris Weston won the Graeme Skarratt award for services to the Superbrand.
