Receptionist turned property agency owner gets into AFR’s “Fast 100” companies list

Sunshine Coast realtor Amber Werchon Property (AWP) has made it into the Australian Financial Review’s (AFR) 2016’s “Fast 100” companies list for the first time.

From humble beginnings as a receptionist to now an agency owner, Werchon started her business right after leaving a national real-estate franchise in 2008 and has not looked back since.

To be qualified for the “Fast 100” list, companies must have an average revenue growth of over four years, which AWP has had.

Werchon who currently employs 44 people across administration, property management and sales from her Mooloolaba-based office has clocked in about 62 percent growth from 2012 to 2016 and a turnover of more than $5.99 million.

“At AWP, we are honoured to be in a list that has acknowledged the success and efforts of such well known and dynamic Australian companies,” Werchon said.

In the past, Werchon’s has won the REIQ Residential Salesperson of the Year for three consecutive years in a row while being the youngest person to do so as well.

Other businesses listed alongside AWP were the Atlassian, Booktopia, Boost Juice, Carman’s Fine Foods, Cellarmasters, Grill’d, Herron Pharmaceuticals, Lonely Planet, RedBalloon, SEEK, WebJet and WorleyParsons.
