The appointment strengthens Real+’s executive capability at a time when real estate and property management businesses are navigating rapid change, rising client expectations, operational complexity and the need to evolve without losing the human connection that underpins strong service businesses.

For Real+, the move signals a clear intention: to build on the credibility, trust and industry impact created under Founder and CEO Fiona Blayney, while adding greater commercial structure and leadership capacity for the future.

Ms Blayney said the appointment was deliberate and future-focused.

“This is an intentional move for Real+,” Ms Blayney said.

“We have built strong foundations across the business and are clear about the opportunity ahead. The industry is changing quickly, and our responsibility is to keep evolving so we remain valuable, relevant and useful to the businesses and people we serve.

“Sean brings strong commercial thinking, deep market knowledge and a broad perspective across partnerships, service, leadership, technology, AI, automation and growth. Many people will know him through Connectnow, but his capability extends well beyond that.”

Mr Scoffield joins Real+ with more than 20 years of business leadership experience across strategic partnerships, market expansion, customer experience, digital transformation, communication and commercial growth.

His appointment follows a period of increasing momentum for Real+, including the continued growth of PM/ONE, now firmly positioned as the largest independent property management conference on the industry calendar.

Ms Blayney said Mr Scoffield’s appointment was not about changing the essence of Real+, but strengthening its ability to scale.

“This is not about changing who Real+ is,” she said.

“It is about strengthening what Real+ can become.

“Real+ has always been built on vision, trust and strong industry connection. This next phase is about building structure, rhythm and execution around that foundation. Sean brings fresh perspective, strong commercial thinking, healthy challenge and disciplined focus to an already committed and capable team.

“We are not interested in standing still. We are building a business that can continue to lead, support and serve the industry well into the future.”

The General Manager role has been designed to lead day-to-day operations and support Real+’s strategic agenda, with a focus on commercial performance, operational excellence, alignment and sustainable growth.

The role will work closely with Ms Blayney, the Board and the Real+ leadership team to align multiple divisions under a more unified operating model, while preserving the trust, personality and client connection central to the Real+ brand.

Mr Scoffield said the opportunity to join Real+ was compelling because of the strength already built and the potential still ahead.

“Real+ has earned a respected place in this industry,” he said.

“There is already a strong reputation, a clear market connection and a team doing meaningful work.

“My role is to bring structure, momentum and disciplined execution to the next phase, while protecting the essence of what has made the business valuable.

“There is enormous opportunity ahead, and I am thrilled to be part of it.”

Together, the appointment pairs Ms Blayney’s recognised industry authority, client insight and market influence with Mr Scoffield’s commercial, operational and growth experience – creating greater structure and capacity for what comes next.
