REACH Australia launches Proptech listing portal

Venture capital firm and Proptech accelerator, REACH Australia has launched a listing portal featuring all the available Proptech tools and platforms across Australia and New Zealand.

REACH Australia Managing Partner Peter Schravemade said the goal of REACH Proptech Marketplace portal was to promote property technology and support the property community at large.

“As a member of the property community, we want to give back and one of the ways we think REACH can do that is to build a portal where all forms of property technology that are currently operating within the Australian and New Zealand framework are all represented in that portal,” Mr Schravemade said.

“We wanted to create a listing portal that is separate to REACH, so it’s a listing board that is available for every technology company that is available in the residential, commercial and retail space.”

Mr Schravemade said the REACH Proptech Marketplace will be a free tool for both Proptech firms and franchises, agencies and principals and hopes it will help promote the benefits of technology in the industry.

He said the portal will also help Proptech firms generate leads and potentially drive more business in the sector.

“We’re trying to help the Australian property community at large and we’re at the coalface of getting the tech enquiries through,” he said.

“We’re looking to put that together so people can go there and get a demo or choose to use their services.”

Mr Schravemade said the concept came together after he was repeatedly contacted and asked what technology was out there and what the industry should be using.

“They all have a listings page and the reason for that is that I’m constantly asked by a principal for example, ‘I have all these different property technologies, but how do I know the different areas of the tech stack within my business that are relevant to me and where can I go to find all of those things’,” he said.

The portal will be open to all Proptech companies even if they have no affiliation with REACH, Mr Schravemade said.

“Even if a Proptech company is not part of the REACH program, there’s no reason why we can’t put forward viable alternatives in a community that is very open-minded and people can look and make their minds up themselves,” he said.

“It’s a service for franchises, principals, real estate agencies and even asset managers, where there are all the different forms of technology on one page.

“We’re also making it free to list, we’re not looking to make money out of it and we don’t endeavour to do that, it’s simply designed to be a portal.”

REACH Australia is a venture capital firm that focuses on helping early-stage Proptech firms through both investment and support and guidance with their accelerator program.
