PRD Liverpool Plains is on track to hit 100 transactions by the end of 2026, after recording 85 sales to September in its first full year under the PRD banner.
The business is led by Liz Morris, who built the agency independently before partnering with PRD Tamworth.
Liz had grown an initial rent roll of around 60 properties to 200, and recorded 52 sales in her first year as an independent operator, well ahead of her original target of 12.
As the business grew, so did the operational load of running it alone.
Liz wanted to keep her autonomy and local focus while getting more support behind the scenes, and partnering with PRD Tamworth gave the Liverpool Plains team access to broader operational, property management and administrative support, freeing Liz up to focus on sales, client relationships and growth.
“PRD has helped me breathe,” she said.
“I still get to run my day the way I want to and focus on my relationships, but now we have a much bigger team behind us. We all come together as one big team.”
Liz said access to PRD’s training, corporate support and research capabilities had also strengthened the information her team can offer local clients.
“The training and support have been fantastic, and having access to Dr Asti Mardiasmo and the PRD research team means we can use data to give our clients more information and confidence when they are making decisions,” she said.
PRD Director David Colman said Liz’s experience showed how regional operators could retain their local identity while drawing on the resources of a wider network.
“Liz had already built a successful local business. Our role was not to change what made it work, but to provide the support and resources that would help her take it further,” David said.
“Many independent agency owners reach a point where they are balancing client relationships and business development with the growing operational demands of running an agency.
“Joining a network should not mean giving up the local knowledge, autonomy or relationships that made the business successful. It should give great operators more time and support to focus on them.”
While reaching 100 transactions would mark an important achievement, Liz said her measure of success extended beyond sales numbers.
“If we can keep getting good referrals and good reviews, that honestly is the best thing,” she said.
“Having people stop me locally and tell me they’ve had a great experience with our team is what keeps you coming back the next day.”
