Movers and Shakers

New offices, brand expansion and experienced agents taking on fresh roles…it’s been a couple of weeks of movers and shakers. Here’s a quick run down of recent moves and changes across the country.

Harcourts expands in Adelaide’s east

Dynamic Adelaide duo Brett Pilgrim and Leon Yuan have opened the latest Harcourts South Australian franchise, known as Harcourts Pilgrim.

With a strong focus on the Eastern suburbs of Adelaide, Mr Pilgrim said he felt the time was now to move to a brand with a hefty emphasis on top end marketing.

“I love the leafy suburbs and prestigious homes, the community and the people in Dulwich Village. There are so many unique and grand homes throughout the suburb, it’s exciting whenever you walk through someone’s door,” Mr Pilgrim said.

Meanwhile, Mr Yuan said he was looking forward to his new position as a director and harnessing the brand recognition of Harcourts.

“I think the opportunity to work for a company with such fantastic brand recognition and to have an office in such a prominent area is what I am looking forward to, it ties in very well, especially in our high-end market,” ” Mr Yuan said.

“But for me, I am most excited to now be a director, not just a salesperson. I deal with many Chinese buyers and sellers; they often want to deal with the boss when it comes to luxury property and now, I can be there for them and help in all circumstances.”

Gregg Toyama, Harcourts SA state CEO welcomed the pair to the team in South Australia.

“It is with pride and pleasure that we welcome the enormously experienced Brett Pilgrim, Leon Yuan and their team to Harcourts in South Australia, combining quality people and a premium brand – the East has never looked better.”

Better Homes and Gardens Real Estate opens in Gympie

After opening the first Queensland office in Caloundra late last year, Better Homes and Gardens Real Estate has continued its expansion – this time in Gympie, a regional town north of Noosa in the Wide Bay-Burnett area.

The new Gympie office will be led by born and bred Principal Niki Meads. The daughter of lifelong locals and business owners, Ms Meads brings 17 years of combined experience in real estate and customer service management.

“The opportunity to bring such a well-known name to our local community is very exciting and I believe the city’s demographic is a perfect way to embrace it. This brand is perfectly suited to the way our city of Gympie is moving forward,” Ms Meads said.

Niki is optimistic that with increasing tourism, the familiarity of the brand will add to what Gympie has to offer.

“Our goals are to provide a boutique real estate experience to locals and visitors – especially as we are seeing more and more people moving here from interstate.

“I envisage the locals will be quick to embrace our new office and assist with our aim of becoming a leading real estate business within our community.”

Bayside Living joins boutique Melbourne brand

Beaumaris-based real estate agency, Bayside Living, has become part of Melbourne’s Greg Hocking Group.

Merging with Greg Hocking’s existing Cheltenham office to become Greg Hocking Bayside Living, the move sees Director Trevor McCann and his team transition to become part of a prominent local brand with a reputation for innovation and leveraging emerging technologies to respond to evolving consumer and market forces.

“We didn’t decide to rebrand lightly,” Mr McCann said.

“The Greg Hocking Group enjoys great recognition throughout Melbourne, and particularly the bayside area.

“We’re excited to join a brand that’s renowned for delivering outstanding service and results, and a local office network where sharing knowledge, success and support is part of their ways of working.”

The addition of a Beaumaris office extends the Greg Hocking network to 11 offices across metropolitan Melbourne, and further cements the brand as a bayside specialist.
