LJ Hooker Property Hub recruits leading prestige agent

Colleen Brunt will bring her many years of experience with prestige property sales to LJ Hooker Property Hub, and strengthen the brand’s position in the Gold Coast hinterland.

The Announcement:

Luxury acreage specialist, Colleen Brunt, has joined LJ Hooker Property Hub where she will focus on lifestyle estates within the Gold Coast hinterland.

Ms Brunt, a Currumbin local, joins the busy agency from high end boutique agency on the Gold Coast, where she had previously worked for the past six years.

David Manby, Real Estate Group Director for LJ Hooker Property Hub, said it is a coup for the agency, with huge demand in the lifestyle acreages on the Gold Coast following the pandemic. He had been actively trying to recruit Ms Brunt for a number of years believing her expertise, skills and dedicated customer service reflected the values of his own team.

โ€œColleen is such a bubbly, friendly and warm person and for someone who does high volume of sales โ€“ in excess of $65m in turnover โ€“ she never comes across as anything but approachable,โ€ Mr Manby said.

โ€œAt LJ Hooker Property Hub is like a big family, we care about our clients and we get great results  โ€“ and we thought she would be the perfect person to join our team. And while it has taken a little while, we are delighted that Colleen has made the move to the network.โ€

Stephen Mutton, Head of Network Performance for LJ Hooker welcomed the recruitment of Ms Brunt who brings with her many years of experience of prestige property sales.

โ€œThis is a growing and important sector of the Gold Coast property market and Colleenโ€™s appointment will further strengthen LJ Hooker Property Hubโ€™s position within the region,โ€ he said.

โ€œExperienced agents are recognising the benefits of joining Australiaโ€™s best known and trusted real estate brand with an established 94-year-history.โ€

After years of working for boutique agencies, Ms Brunt said she had begun reflecting on her future during the pandemic and decided she wanted a new challenge. She is delighted to have joined LJ Hooker Property Hub and has been impressed with the level of support, training and processes provided to agents.

โ€œThis the perfect time to make a change and I really liked the wonderful sense of community within the LJ Hooker Property Hub team,โ€ Ms Brunt said.

โ€œIt is a very organised and professional agency but it also offers an intimate level of customer service and that is very important to me.โ€

Ms Brunt, who has a corporate background, never planned on working in property but a bad experience with a real estate agent set her on a different career path. Having just moved to Queensland from South Africa, she decided to study for a real estate certificate to understand more about the local industry.

After buying her first home, the selling agent convinced her to join his team. Just five years later, she was the top selling agent in Coomera Waters.

Ms Bruntโ€™s focus will be on acreages in the Currumbin Valley and Tallebudgera region which are popular with interstate buyers due to their close proximity to the beach, Burleigh Heads and Coolangatta Airport.

โ€œI love to focus on selling properties that are not your everyday norm โ€“ they each have a story to tell,โ€ she said.

โ€œI am very creative – definitely not your cookie cutter real estate, I am a little bit out of the box in the way I approach things and that has worked for me. With every new listing, Iโ€™ll take my time to walk around the property and really get a sense of what will appeal to buyers and how best to present it to the market.โ€
