Principal David Lawson is a well-respected expert in the area and will bring a high calibre of local experience, knowledge and exemplary client care to everything he does.
Hockingstuart has announced its new Williamstown office, south-west Melbourne, will open on Monday, July 4, led by Principal David Lawson.
As one of the founders of the original Hockingstuart Williamstown office back in 1995, David returns to the brand after running a successful solo operation for many years.
Having earnt his stripes selling real estate in the Hobsons Bay area for over 30 years, the opportunity to combine his affinity for the brand with his longstanding local experience was one that David relished.
“I’ve long held a fondness for the Hockingstuart brand, and when the opportunity became available to take up the reins in Hockingstuart Williamstown again, I didn’t hesitate,” he explains.
Originally established in 1837 as Melbourne’s first sea port, historic Williamstown is today a popular seaside suburb only 11 kilometres from the CBD.
“With its beaches, parklands, boutique shopping and eateries, Williamstown offers an enviable lifestyle that is increasingly sought after by buyers.
“And through Hockingstuart’s strong reputation and unique brand offerings, I’m confident our new office will be perfectly positioned to meet the growing needs of the local Hobsons Bay market once again,” David said.
In 2019 Hockingstuart merged with national boutique real estate brand Belle Property, enabling the two brands to benefit from each other’s strengths and creating a nationwide network of over 160 offices—another big incentive for David to re-join Hockingstuart.
“As part of a network we now benefit from extensive corporate support with training, technology, and talent development which frees us up to focus on what we do best—selling and leasing property,” said David.
“There is also plenty of upside for our clients. We can reach additional buyers via a national database of over 3 million property seekers, and through a partnership with lifestyle publisher Sitchu, our listings appear on its heavily-trafficked site and can feature in its magazine.
“While an exclusive membership of global property portal, Leading Real Estate Companies of the World, enables us to market listings to international buyers—an offering unmatched by other real estate brands.”
Hockingstuart CEO Peter Hanscomb said he is thrilled to see the launch of the Williamstown office helmed by David.
“We are delighted to have David return to the Hockingstuart fold after all these years. As a well-respected expert who lives and breathes the Hobsons Bay property market, he brings a high calibre of local experience, knowledge and exemplary client care to everything he does.
“Importantly, his values and hard-working approach align perfectly with what the Hockingstuart brand stands for, and I have every faith his team will soon be joining the other high-performing Hockingstuart offices on our leader board,” said Peter.
